commenoe in Little Folks magazine for January . Mr . J . Lash Latey has retired from the
editorship of the Illustrated London News , with which journal he has been connected
since its foundation in 1842 . He has been editor of it for thirty */ -two years . Mr . Latey V ' s
successor is Mr . Clement King Shorter . The first annual series of the Art
Decorator , which is announced for immediate publication _ — ___ — , will _ . _ have _ — an introduction _ — —____ — ____ b y the
President of the Royal Society of British Artists , and will , by special X permission X , be
dedicated to H . R . H . the Princess Louise . The _ first — _ number _ of a new issue f in weekly
volumes , of a selection of the most , popular works in Cassell's ' National Library ' will
appear on Wednesday , January 7 . Some new volumes will be added which have not hitherto
appeared in the series , and the cloth editions will be issued in an improved style of binding .
