by a cultivated American lady . Among the other papers , that on ' Joan of Arc' strikes us as specially admirable . Occasionally tho peculiar
use of a word strikes an English reader as a : little strange . Thus : ' Even the sadly carnal Swinburne predicates and carelessly hints at an
over-realm . ' Now , Mr .
