Byron , Browning Napoleon , and there is a document Migned by King William of Prussia
and Prince Bismarck in 1808 , and a letter from Henry 1 V \ of France . The collection
also includes some brilliant pen and ink sketches by the author of Vanity Fair . Professor Silvanus P . Thompson read a
paper at the Society of Arts , on the 19 th ultimoon * The Organisation of Secondary
and Technical , Education in London . ' The Professor pointed out how completely the
Charity Commissioners had failed to grasp the opportunity presented to them by the Act of 1883 and had devoted the money at their
disposal , to certain institutions , none of which could bo said to form a link between primary 1 *
schools and the higher colleges ; whilst dayschools , in which secondary Veducation was
carried on , had been overlooked . What is to bo called * A Stanley and
