' This * verse strikes the keynote of the series , the first « packet , No . 109 , containing texts of a similar nature , and the second , No . 110 , original lines from the pen of the late Miss Havergal , written specially , a short time before her death , for this Packet . The following will afford a good example : — * Though the circling flight of Time may find us Far apart , or severed more and more , Yet the farewell always lies behind us , And the welcome always lies before . Meanwhile God is leading , surely , slowly , Through the shadows with a Hand of Love , To the home where , ' mid the myriads boly , Only welcomes wait us both above .
