A CERTAIN DISEASE CURED WITHIN ONE WEEK . In conteguence of Dr . Wilkinson ' s extensive practice he has considered it advisable to remove from Jltnulet , to 60 , bottom of Templar-s 1 reel 3 for the greater ctmtenienee of hit patients , where ht may be Consulted as usual . ' XVR . WILKINSON , Surgeon , No . 60 , Bottom of Templar ' s Street , Leeds , continnes , with XJ unabated assiduity , to eradicate every species of Infection . In recent cases , a perfect trore ijj completed within a week , or no charge made for Medicines after the expiration of that period . And in those of the utmost inveteracy , where other Practitioners have failed , a proper perseverance in iis plan of treatment insures to * he patient , » safe , well frounded , and lasting re-establishment , eon-« olted with tbe greatest secrecy * nd honour , at hi « house from nine to one , end from four till nine , and on Sundays till two . - .. He hopes that the successful , ea * y , and expeditious mode he has adopted , of eradicating every symptom of a Certain Disease , without any material alteration in diet , or hindrance of business , aid yet jweserviDg tbe constitution in full vigour and free from injary , will esUblirii hi * claims for support . Aj this Disease is one which is likely to be contracted whenever exposure takes p lace , it ig not like many other visitors , once in life , but on tie contrary , one infection may scarcely have been removed , when another may unfortunately be imbibed , therefore the Practitioner requires real judgment in order to treat each particular Ctae in rach a manner as not merely to remove the present attack , but to preserve the constitution unimpaired , in case of & repetition at no distant period . The man of experience can arail binwelf ef tht greatest improvements in mode ™ practice , by being able to distinguish between discharges of a specific and of a simple or mild nature , which can only be made by one in daily practice , after doe conkidentjon of all circumstances . In the game manner st birth , appearances often take place in children , which call for a proper knowledge and acquaintance with the disease , in order to ciacrnninate their real nature , and which may be the means of sowing domestic discord , unless managed by the Surgeon with propriety and skill . Patients labouring under this Disease , cannot be too cautious into whose hand they commit theawlre * .. The propriety of this remark is abundantly manifested . oj the cam * party frequently passing die ordeal of several Practitioners , before he is fortunate mturogb to obtain a perfect cure . Tbe following are some « f the many symptoms that distinguish this I S **** : —* pn « r * i debility , eruptions on the brad , face , and body ; nlcerated sore throats , scrofula , ¦ wdlings ib » e Deck , nodes on the shin bones , cancer * , fistula , pain * iu the head and limbs , which are frequently mistaken for rheumatism , &c . &c . By the arrival of the Bdyai ^ Tar steamer , atTal . mouth , from * theVTagus , we ' hav « jreceived adyicei from Lisbon to the 19 th 'instant , inclusive . Th 6 intelligence they bring is gainfully important , namely , the details of another attempt to effect » revolution by the assassination of ¦ the ¦" . King the Viscount Desa da Bandeira , andihis ; ministerial colleague in the "War Department . ' Tile substance ' & tKis traBsa ^ on may he" jgiveh in a few wordg . The 13 tb atfd I 4 tb inst ., are observed . as reHgioug festivals inPortugal j the first being the anniversar ? of St . Antonio , patron saint of Lisbon , and the second the Catholic festival of Corpus Christi , whiblj in celebrated with processions in most Catholic
countries . On the 14 th the King , in accordance with immemorial usage , ; attended the procession but no violence was offered him till ' ihis return to the door of the Cathedral , when he was assailed with the vilest epithets by the mob , the Constitution of 1820 without alterations called for , and violent attempts made to prevent him from getting into hig carriage ; ' Previously to this a mob : had collected in the Cathedral-square , where a military bandL . wsj playing the anthem of Donna Mariajj and furidtsh shouted for the revolutionary hymn of 1820 . Thig demand was complied with whereupon the 7 th bat . tali on of National Guards arid several other sections
of that body joined the rioters , shouting " Long live the Constitution of 1820 ! " A rnsh was now made towards the Cathedral , with a view as wai seriously believed of assassinating the King if % ottered opposition . The 2 d Eegiment of Cagadorej were in attendance , and evinced such a determination to preserve the King , that the mob was pre . vented from getting his person into their bands . He entered his carriage protected by the swords of his guards , and drove off at a rapid pace . The mob now furious with rage and disappointment , caugbl sight of the Ex-Minister M . Jose da Silva Carvajho , and had it not been for the promptitude of M . Costa
Cabralj the Civil Governor , they would have mur . uered him on the spot Shouts of' Death to the tyrant" were raised on all sides ; and in a struggle to open door of the ex-Minister's coach j his life waa only preserved by the intrepidity of the Civil Governor , who coolly discharged a pistol at the head of one of the ruffians , which had the effect of throwing his companions into some confusion . The coach , surrounded by the rabble , Stopped in the Rue dos Fangueiros , when the ; Viscount Da Sa Bandeira appeared at the head of some municipal guards , and commanded the mob to disperse . "While he was in the act of speaking /' oae of the ruffianj
made a rush upon him , exclaiming " you are aj great a traitor as they , " and struck him so violent a blow on the breast with the bayonety that the Viscount fell in the opinion of the by-standers mortally wounded . Fortunately for him the blow aimed with such a deadly intent was arrested * by the Star of the Order of the Tower and Sword which he wore on his breast , so that after , perforating the decora , tion , the bayonet merely inflicted a slight flesh wound . The 2 nd Cagadores now made their appearance , and the mob quickly dispersed . Numerous patrols of cavalry and infantry were called out to
preserve the peace of the capital . Several-pieces of cannon were mounted in the Alcantara Square ; and , in the course of a few hours Lisbon presented the appearance of a city in a ttate of hostile occnpation . The next day a Royal decree signed by the Queen commanded the dissolution of the fth , 8 th , 14 th , 15 tb , 16 th , and 17 th battalions of the National Guards of Lisbon , for having taken part in tie revolutionary emeute -which we have just descrihei Another decree authorized the authorities to tab such measures they might deem requisite for seizin ? and punching the ringleaders .
