HEALTH , LONG LIFE , AND HAPPINESS , SECURED BY THAT POPULAR MEDICINE "VTO Medicine yetoffered to the world ever so rapidly 11 attained such distinguished celebrity : it is questionsble if there be now any part of the civilised globe where its extraordinary healing virtues have not been exhibited . This signal success is not attributable to any system of advertising , but solely to the strong recommendations of parties cured by their use . The Proprietors of Parr ' s Life Pill ' s have uow in their possession upwards of fifteen hundred letters , several of them from Clergymen of the Church of England , many from distinguished ' isseuting Ministers , from gentlemen connected with the Army and Navy , also from Members of Parliament , Merchants , and last , though notleast , from members of the Medical Frofession , and a skilful Analytical Chemist ; all speaking in tiiehighesttermsof the value of this inestimable medicine . This is a mass of evidence in its favour beyond all parallel .

CURES IN SHEFFIELD . From Mr . A . Whittaker , bookseller , 1 , Forgate , Sheffield . Jan . 2 , 1846 . Gentlemen—Numberless parties in and around Sheffield , have found the greatest benefit from Dr . Locock ' s Pulmonic Wafers . Among the rest a gentleman , who has been a leading actor on the Sheffield stage upwards of twenty years , assured me that lie always kept by him a box of LococU ' s Wafers , whether at home or when travelling to distant towns , as being the best and readiest remedy he can get for colds and hoarseness , so peculiarly troublesome in his profession . And the gentleman , who lives at Pitsmoor , has been for years much subject to illness from colds , and he declares that during a number of years he has tried almost every medium that he has heard of for coughs and colds , but none had been of material service to him until he tried Locock ' s Waters , which at once cured him . Last winter I took cold , whicli brought on a very bad cough ; for some time I neglected it ; it soon , however began to wear a serious aspect . Having an aversion to call iu a medical man , I was easily prevailed upon by a friend to try Dr . Loeook ' s wafers : The first box did me so much service that I felt assured it only required a little perseverance to obtain a perfect cure . It gives me great pleasure to inform you that I am now perfectly restored to health by them . Yours truly , C . Taker . To Mr . Reinnardt ,

London Corn Exchange , Monday , Jan . 26 . — . The corn market was but scantily supplied during last week with grain of any description , a few cargoes of wheat from abroad being the principal arrival ; in the whole about equal to 10 , 000 quarters . A moderate quantity of English Hour also got up , say about 3 , 000 sacks , and we had also 500 barrels reported from New York . The general amount of business transacted during the week was small , anticipation being at its height respecting the contemplated modification of the existing law . The statement of Sir Robert Peel on Thursday night imparted a firmer tone to the market on Friday , and holders of bonded grain were indisposed to sell at anything like late rates , but in the absence of actual disposition to purchase , the effect was one of anticipated rather than
ol real advantage ; on v ' whole , however , the announcement of a change was looked upon as favourable to business , both on the part of factors and consumers . This morning the supply fresh up was very short of wheat , and but limited of other grain . The condition of much of the wheat coming to hand is very second rate . Business has been done in wheat at last week ' s rates , and the trade must be considered fully as good as on this day week . The finest descriptions of malting barley find a fair sale , but for other sorts the demand still remains inadequate to the supply . In oats , either of Irish or foreign varieties , prices are unchanged . Beans have met a fair inquiry at firm rates , and white peas are also in quite as much demand , but not higher . In the seed market the only change is in canary seed , which has advanced fully 4 s . per quarter .

LOXBOX S . M 1 IHF 1 ELO CaTTLE MARKET , MoXDAY , Jan . 2 b ' . —The arrivals of forei gn cattle into the port ot London during the last week have comprised 76 head of oxen , 295 cows 14 calves , and 1 , 205 sheep , being the largest importation since the commencement-of the trade . The gradual increase of the number exported from Holland during the past year , and the fact of there being a diminution up to the present period , is fully corroborative of the remarks which have appeared under this head upon several occasions since the new tariff came into operation . The increasing extension of the trade is sufficient
evidence ot its being remunerative , whilst the circumstance of meat of every kind throughout the whole of the past year having been considerably higher in price than during preceding years , establishes the fact of the importation having had no depressing influence upon the London market . The total supply of meat this morning was remarkably short tor the time of year , and this , together with a good attendance of butchers disposed to purchase Ireely , produced a brisk trade for every tiling . During the week rather more inquiry for flour has been experienced , without , however , leading to much actual ex tension ot business ; whilst for oats and oat . meal the demand has continued on the same restricted scale as previously noted .
