To those suffering from the consequences which this disease may have left behind in the form of secondary symptoms , eruptions of the skin , blotches on the head and face , ulcerations aud enlargement of the throat , tonsils , and threatened destruction of the nose , palate , < kc , nodes on the shin bones , ov any of those painful affections arising from the dangerous effects of the indiscriminate use of mercury , ov the evils of an imperfect cure , the Concentrated Detersive Essence will be found to be attended with the most astonishing efi ' eets , in checking the ravages of the disorder , removing all scorbutic complaints , and effectually re-establishiug the health of the constitution . WRAT'S BALSAMIC PILLS , a certain , safe , and the most speedy remedy ever discovered for the permanent and effectual cure of strictures , seminal weakness , pains in the loins , nffections of the kidneys , gravel , rheumatism , lumbago , gonorrhoea , gleets , local debility , irritation of the bladder or urethra , and other diseases of the urinary passages . The unprecedented success that has attended the administration of these pills , since they were made public , has acquired for them a sale more extensive than any other proprietary medicine extant , and the circumstance of their entirely obviating the necessity of having recourse to those disgusting , nauseous , and in many eases highly injurious medicines ( as copaiba , cubebs , < fcc . ) has obtained for them a reputation unequalled in the a minls of medicine . Prior to being advertised , these pills were employed in private practice in upwards of l , S 0 O cases , many of them most inveterate—in many thousand cases since , and in no one instance known to fail , or to produce those unpleasant symptoms so often experienced while taking copaiba , and that class of medicines usuall y resorted to in these complaints . The proprietor pledges himse lf that not one particle of copaiba , either resin or balsam , cubebs , ov any deleterious ingredient , enters their composition . Copaiba and cubebs have long been tho most commonly employed medicines in the above complaints ; but , from the uncertainty in their effects , together with their utter inefficacy in many cases , are fast declining in reputation ; and , from the unpleasant symptoms invariably produced from taking copaiba , especially iu the early stage of the complaint , many of the most able modern practitioners con & mH it as dangerous , and a medicine not to bo dependofi upon . The Balsamic Bills are free from any of the above objections ; they ' act specifically on the urinary passages : and , from their tonic properties , tend to strengthen the system and improve tlie general health . They require neither confinement nor alteration of diet ( _eKcapt abstinence from stimulants , where considerable iaflanimation exists ) , and , ns . experience bas amply proved , they will effect a cure sooner than copaiba ( the dangerous results of which , in the inflammatory stases , are teo well known to need comment ) , or any other medicine ia present use , and may be justly considered the only safe and efficacious remedy in all -stages of those disorders . Lo.Vdo.Y Oors Exchange, Monday, August 4...
Lo . _vDo . Y Oors Exchange , Monday , August 4 . —Wo have still very unsettled weather , but on the whole a slight improvement has taken place , the showers which have fallen during the last few days having been of a partial character , whilst a material rise litis occurred in the temperature . The reports respecting the appearance of the growing cropsare still very contradictory . The complaints in regard to the wheat plant have" rather increased than diminished . , _'Wcarc , however , inclined to think that the real mischief would not prove very important provided the next month or six weeks should be auspicious . As yet we have heard of no wheat being cut , but with a few really fine days a commencement would probably be
immediately made in tlie early districts . A great deal of excitement prevailed in the wheat trade throughout the past week , and at most of the markets held on Friday and Saturday prices 2 s to 3 s , and at some places even is per qr . above those previously realised were obtained . Whether this advance will be maintained will , in our opinion , depend in a great measure on the weather ; on the whole wc arc rather inclined to look for a slight reaction . To-day at Mark-lane there was certainly much less inclination to purchase , and having a larger show of wheat by land-carriage samples from the home counties than on any former occasion ior several weeks past , an eii ' eef _ual check ivas given to the upward _tendency . In the earlv part of the morning high terms were insisted
on , bnt the millers held oil altogether until motors consented to accept last Monday's prices , and even at the rates then current the demand was by no means brisk , a considerable proportion of the supply remaining unsold at the close of business . Holders of free foreign wheat were not pressing sellers , and with quite a retail inquiry very little disposition was manifested to accept -Jess money . For bonded parcelsvery high rates continued to be asked ; there was _,, however , less inclination to enter into speculative investments than at the close of the week , and comparatively few bargains wore closed . Fine Dantzic was held at over 50 $ , and other sorts at corresponding _, terms . The lately established advance on flour wasnot freely paid , ana the sales were ou a somewhat restricted scale . There was scarcely any English barley fresh up , and though the inquiry i ' ov this grain was not particularly active a small advance on tho currency of this day sc ' niiight was in partial instances realised
on superior qualities . Malt was likewise held with much firmness , and the best descriptions wove hardly obtainable on as low terms as on Monday last . Tho fresh arrivals of oats were moderate ; having , however , received a very good supply during the past week ( principally from Ireland ) , ' _thsre was no scarcity of this grain to-day . The principal dealers have latterly got pretty well into stocks , they were consequently not much inclined to buy ; having , however , a good country demand , a lair amount of business was done at prices much the same as those at which sales were made eight days ago . There were scarcely any beans of home growth offering , and foreign , whether free or in bond , were held at high rates ; the actual sales inn de were therefore , unimportant , but tho tendency of prices wore rather upwards than otherwise . The show of peas was likewise small , a parcel or two of new were exhibited of fair quality . Wc could not learn what prices were made for these the first arrival of the season .
Londo . v Smithi _' _-ield Cattle market , Monday , August < i . —During the past week the imports of live stock from abroad for our markets have been on an extensive scale , they having amounted to 175 oxen and cows , together with 1 G 3 sheep and 27 calves , per the Columbine , Batavier , and Giraffe steamers , fjom Rotterdam , while the Caledonia has arrived from Hamburgh , having on board 50 oxen . To-day wc had on otter 80 oxen and cows , and 12 calves , from the above ports , in which , however , though there were some useful animals amongst them , a-decided falling off was apparent in their general quality . Tlie demand for them was , therefore , inactive at somewhat depressed currencies , yet nearly the whole of them found' buyers . In consequence of the
comparatively high rates ruling here , very lew shipments have been lately made to our _outpoi'ts . At IIulI only about 90 beasts lave come to hand since our hist ; still , wc find that two cargoes comprising 75 oxen and cows have been lately landed , and disposed of by public auction at Dundee . The oxen from _Uolstein sold at from £ 11 to £ 1 G 53 ., those from Jutland £ 10 to £ 13 each . The purchases _were wholly made by' the graziers . The foregoing arrivals , " added to those previously reported , form the following totals of beasts and sheep f ' cr the present year . Beasts C 19 G , sliecp 1 _S-13 . Fresh up , to-day , the arrivals of beasts tVom our own grazing districts were somewhat on the increase , while a further slight improvement'was noticed in their quality , especially in that of'those
worn , the western and midland counties . Although the attendance of both town and country biiycrs ' was rather numerous , the beef trade was in a sluirgish state , at a decline in the quotations obtained on Monday last of 2 d . per Sib . ; the highest figure for the best Scots not exceeding 4 s . -id . per Sib ; and ' at which a clearance was with difficulty effected . From" Norfolk ' , Suffolk , Essex , and Cambridgeshire wc received about 700 Scots , homcbretls , and shorthorns ; from the northern districts , including 80 by railway from _Newcastle-upon-Tyne , 200 shorthorns , ' & c . ; from the western and midland counties , GOO Hcrefords , runts , Devons , & e . ; from other parts of England , 500 of various breeds , and from Scotland 3 i' 0 horned and polled Scots ; the remainder of the supply being derived from tlie
neighbourhood of the metropolis . For lhc __ time of year , the number of sheep was very limited , and their condition . was by no means good , notwithstanding tho plentiful supply of fodder on the whole of our large stock farms . The primest old Downs were in steady request , at full rates of currency ; but all other breeds were a slow inquiry at barely stationary prices . There were very line store ammals on offer , and for which high rates were again demanded . The supply of lambs was small , owing to which the lamb trade was active at full quotations _, llic loreign calves found ready buyers , at from 4 s . to 'is . Cd . per Sib . Generally speaking , the veal trade was steady , at last week ' s figures . In pigs , thesupply ot which was small , only a limited business was doing at late rates .

' Manchester Cons Market , Saturday , August 2 . -During the week lrcqucnt heavy showers of rain have fallen in this neighbourhood , almost daily , and the weather altogether has been of a very untoward character , causing much excitement in the trade , and a brisk demand for both wheat and Hour , at a turtlicv considerable enhancement in prices .
