HEALTH , LONG LIFE , AND HAPPINESS , SECURED BY THAT POPULAR MEDICINE NO Medicine yet offered to the world ever so rapidly attained such distinguished celebrity : it is questionable if there be now any part of the civilised globe where its extraordinary healing virtues have not been exhibited . This signal success is not attributable to any system of advertising , but solely to the strong recommendations of parties cured by their use . The Proprietor * of Parr ' s Life Pill's have now in their possession upwards of fifteen hundred letters , several of them from Clergymen of the Church of England , many from distinguished issentiiig Ministers , from gentlemen connected with the Army and Navy , also from Members of Parliament , Merchants , and last , though not least , from members of tlw Medical Profession , and a skilful Analytical Chemist ; all speaking in tiie highest terms of the value of this inestimable medicine . This it u mass of evidence in its favour beyond all parallel . The extraordinary properties of this mediciilt are thUS described by an eminent physician , Who Saj' 8 , " After particular observation of tha action of Parr ' s Pills , I am determined , in my opinion , that the following are their true properties : — "First—They increase tho strength , w hil st most ot h or medicines have a weakening effect upon the system . Let any one take from three to four or six pills every twentyfour hours , and instead of having weakened , they will bo found to have revived the animal spirits , and to have imparted a lasting strength to the body . "Secondly—In their operation they go direct to tho disease . After you have taken six or twelve pills you will experience their effect ; the disease upon you will become less and less by every dose you take , and if you persevere in regularly taking from three to six pills every day , your disease will speedily be entirely removed from tho system . " Thirdly—They aro found after giving them a fair trial for a few weeks to possess the most astonishing and invigorating properties , and they will overcome all obstinate complaints , and restore sound health ; thero is a return of good-appetite shortly from the beginning of their us ' e , whilsttlieir mildness as u purgative is a desideratum greatly required by the weak and delicate , particularly where violent purging is acknowledged to be injurious iastead of beneficial .

BLAIR'S GOUT AMD RHEUMATIC PILLS . A severe ease of Rheumatism , communicated by Mr , Alkn , Proprietor of the Kottlngham Mercury . Mtrurg Officii , Nottingham , March 17 , 1845 . Iir , — I have the pleasure of forwarding you the particulars of a case in which BLAIR'S GOUT and RHEUMATIC PILLS havo proved eminently successful . A young woman , named Mary Wain , accompanied by her parents , wlio reside at Watnatt , near this town , called upon me on Saturday last , being desirous of making her ease known for the benefit of the public . It appears that Mary Wain had for some yaars past boon a great sufferer from Rheumatism , but that in October lasi she was more than ordinarily afflicted , so much so that her father fetched her from her place of service , in ord < .-r that she might have the attention of her mother at home ; at that time—to make use of the mother ' s description , " she could not lift her hand to her mouth , or her foot the height of sixpence from the floor . " Having heard of Blair ' Pills , the father purcliasod a box at my shop about tho second week in October ; the Pills took immediate effect , for I am assured by the parents and the girl herself , that on the following day she could not only lift her hand up to feed herself , but she could also move about ou crutches . Since that time she has had five more boxes of the Pills , and , if I may judge from appearances , is as well as she ever was in her life , and has been so for some months past . You are at liberty to make use of my name it" you think it will add to the weight of this testimonial . I amSiryours truly

Londo.V Cors Exchange, Moxday, Jan\ 26.—...
LoNDO . V CORS EXCHANGE , MoXDAY , JaN \ 26 . — The corn market was but scantily supplied during last week with grain of any descri p tion , a few car g oes of wheat from abroad being the principal arrival ; in the whole about equal to 10 , 000 quarters . A moderate quantity of English flour also got up , say about 8 , 000 sucks , and we had also 500 barrels reported ' : from New York . The general amount of business ! transacted during the week was small , anticipation being at its height respecting the contemplated : modification of the existing law . The statement of . Sir Robert Peel on Thursday night imparted a firmer j tone to the market on Friday , and holders of bonded j grain were indisposed to sell at anything like late rates , but in the absence of actual disposition to purchase , the effect was one of anticipated rather than
of real advantage ; on the whole , however , the announcement of a change was looked upon as favourable to business , both on the part of factors and consumers . This morning the supply fresh up was very short of wheat , and but limited of other grain . The condition of much of the wheat coming to hand is very second rate . Business has been done in wheat at last week ' s rates , and the trade must be considered fully as good as on this day week . The finest descriptions of malting barley find a fair sale , but for other sorts the demand still remains inadequate to tho supp ly . In oats , either of Irish or foreign varieties , prices arc unchanged . Bca \\ % have met a fair inquiry at firm rates , and white peas are also in quite as much demand , but not higher . In the seed market the onl y change is in canary seed , which has advanced fullv -Is . per quarter .

Lonbon Ssilthfleld Caiile Market, Mondat...
LONBON SsilTHFlELD CaIILE MARKET , MoNDAT , Jan . 20 . —The arrivals of foreign cattlo into the port of London during the last week have comprised 76 head of oxen , 2 U 3 cows , 11 calves , and 1 , 205 sheep , being the largest importation since the commence ment of the trade . The gradual increase of the number exported from Holland during the past year , and the fact of there being a diminution up to the present period , is fully corroborative of the remarks which have appeared under this head upon several occasions since the new tariff came into operation . The increasing extension of the trade is sufficient evidence of its being remunerative , whilst the circumstance of meat of every kind throughout the whole of the past year having been considerably higher in price than during preceding years , establishes the fact of the importation having had no depressing influence upon the London market . The
to t al supp ly of meat this morning was remarkably short for the time of year , and this , togctV-r with a good attendance of butchers disposed to purchase i reel y , produced a brisk trade for everything . Prices were linn throughout , and clearances were effected very quickly . The number of beasts on salo was 3 , 06-i of fine average quality , which met with an excellent trade at is . 4 d . for prime small Scots , and is . for middling beef ; inferior animals went at from 3 s . 2 d . to 3 s . Sd . per stone . Of sheep there were only 18 , 700 head in the market , which is considerably below the average numbvr . The mutton trade was particularly active , and all sold before the close , at prices ranging from Is . 2 d . up to 5 s . 4 d ., hall-breds brought 5 s , per stone , down os , id ., and polled ewea 4 s . 2 d ., and wethers 4 s . ( id . to to . 8 d . There wore only 58 calves on offer to-day , which found spirited purchasers at from 4 s . 8 d . to 5 s . 6 d . The pork trade was firm at from 4 s . 6 d . up to 5 s . 6 d .
