Speaking the truth in love . —Paul .
In my last paper I spoke of the necessity of giving God the heart . It is what God claims , it . is what nature prompts * it is what salvation requires . I now add that UnitarianChristianity is eminently fitted to foster sound , deep , ancj ardent devotion . A different opinion is , I know , abroad . The atmosphere in which Unitarians live must ,, it is imagined , be dull and cold , because they worship not an incarnate and a placated God . The one we behold in heaven , and through the universe working for man's good ; the other dwelling amongst men , to
shadow forth the divine perfections on earth ; to become * God with us / to disclose God ' s will , and do God ' s work , that he might eventually draw all men unto hint ) , by the attractions of his benign excellencies , as the setting sun draws the eye , and makes it linger in the horizon long after it has passed away . What more can the incarnate God be to others than < God in Christ' is to us ? What more than what we know and feel we may find in him > ' righteousness , sanctification , and redemption ; ' while our views
