Protest against the Thirty-Nine Articles . The following is copied from the Cam * bridge Chronicle of March 24 : Copy of a Letter sent to the Society of Catharine Hall in the University of Cauw bridge . Sirs ,
If my tenure , of a Fellowship in Catharine Hall is deemed to imply the recognition < rf the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion , drawn up about two hundred and fifty years ago , I declare deliberately my abdication of it , as I consider each < rf them wholly or partly repugnant to the Gospel ° f Jesus .
