-And are you arrived near the end of your pilgrimage ? You need not be dismayed ! You have often meditated upon this scene through life , and been long preparing for it . Death is a dark
gloomy passage , and more alarming because we never tried it . But I hope you will recollect that it is the way appointed by our merciful Father , to bring his children to the glory of a heavenly country
It is the way trodden by the prophets , by apostles , by our dear parents and our Saviour himself , the Prince of Life , spotless and sinless as he was . We should ,
therefore , submit to the ordinance of heaven , and be reconciled to the common lot of our nature , which is so necessary to the glory and exaltation of it . When we look
