" The saving of from 30 to 50 per cent , on each suit of clothes , is a feature which the practical genius of Englishmen will not fail to appreciate . " THE above quotation is taken from a Work lately published , on " The Various Systems , &c ., of the Woollen-Cloth Trade . " The immediate reference of this extract is to the New System recently introduced at the XONDON CLOTH ESTABLISHMENT by EDMUND DUDDEN AND CO . And in which the Writer shows that the Customers of Messrs . Dudden and Co . save from 30 to 50 per cent , on their purchases by adopting the New System . The fine STOCK of the London CtorH Establishment is known as one of the best in the Metropolis ^ from which any Lengths , even the shortest , are SOLD AT THE WHOLESALE PRICE . Education fob the People . —An education , to embrace a people in which these differences exist , must carefully eschew all matters of doctrine , leaving every parent to inculcate , or to have inculcated , what forms of worship may to him seem good . To redeem a child from vice , and ignorance , and sin , is a noble work ; but it is a narrow spirit which seeks to make proselytes of those who cannot even understand the meaning of the words in which the creed is conveyed , —Langkfobd ' s Religion and Education .

MONEY MARKET AND CITY INTELilGENCE . Thursday Evening , March 24 , 1853 . The near approach of Easter has made all business generally dull ; and the news of the Russo-Turkish difficulty , which caused a temporary panic in Paris , was not without its corresponding effect here . Consols receded to 99 , to f , but at present have recovered to 99 £ % for money , and 99 f $ for the account . All Stocks sympathised with the fall , and French Railway Shares especiall y felt the depression . Most of the leading lines fell £ 2 and £ 3 per share , but this afternoon have nearly recovered their former position . A new Danish Railway is announced , and has been dealt in at £ 2 to £ 3 per share premium . The Mining Market has been brisk in English mines . In all gold mines there has been some considerable fall , particularly in Australian . The companies which , have hitherto commanded a considerablepremium have received bad accounts from Australia ; wranglings between their managing men in the colony , and the desertion of their labourers , heavy expenses going on all the time , have contributed to make the public greatly distrustful . The science of working a gold company with profit has yet to be learned . This nefct week there will be but little business done , but after Easter there will probably be a very marked rise in all securities—supposing always that no fresh Continental difficulties occur , and . that existing causes of disquietude are removed .
