Its objects are to counteract the system of adulteration » nd fraud now prevailing in the trade ; to deal as agents for the consumers in purchasing the articles for their consumption and for the producers in selling their produce ; to promote' progress of the principle of Association ; to find employment for cooperative associations by the collection of orders to be executed under especial guarantee to the customers .
