The Members present at the Meeting wero fully satisfied with the Report , and resolved unanimously that a Reduction of iJl . J per Cent , should be made in the current year's Premium payable liy all Policy-holders now entitled to participate >« i the Profits . CONTROL , held August 10 , 1855 , it was unanimously resolved : — " That this Committee deeply regrets the withdrawal of the Church-rate Abolition Bui , necessitated by the ob-Ji £ e ex Pedients resorted to by its opponents . That the Committee nevertheless rejoices at the progress made towards the satisfactory settlement ot the question , eviidenced by the character of the opposition'Hto the * Bill , aswell as by the decided majority an -favour of the secorid . reading ; , and is fully . prepared for renewed exertion in its support at the commencement of the next Session .
