and the title of which was " JBeweis _, dasz die Frauen-zimmer eigentlich Keine Menschen sind ; " ( i . e . Proof that women are
properly no human beings . ) If the Germans , chose to support such princiles by creating so great a demand for this book
that it had p now appeared in the eighth edition , they might do so ; but there was no reason why the Bohemians should not
give preference to the more elevated opinions of women that were entertained by Englishmen .
Mr . _JSTaprstek ' s lectures were listened to with great interest ; they were also published and eagerly read by the people of
Bohemia , and are sure to produce a salutary effect , especially on the fair sex , as they are the products of a comprehensive ,
clear , and vigorous mind , aiming at the amelioration of the political condition of the Bohemian people in general , and the
improvement of the social and intellectual position of woman in particular . _^ B y their intrinsic value his words produced

He made , , not onl , y in Bohemia , but in the whole Austrian Empirea stir fpr the amelioration of the socialmoraland
intellectual , condition of the people . A remarkable , proof , of how his sagacious plan with regard to the Prumyslove Museum

in Vienna . Bringing his seven years' stay in Americaand his experience
gathered during the time of the International , Exhibition in Londonto bear upon the hearts and minds of his fellow
citizens , , Mr . ISJaprstek , by the extraordinary accuracy of his speechand by the happy manner in which he mingled
instruction , with entertainment , received a homage from his audience such as has rarely been accorded to men on such
occasions in Prague , and it can truly be said that his lectures excited a larger interest than the speeches of the most eminent
and respected of his compatriots who have on various occasions come forward to speak on matters touching the moral and
physical improvement of the people .
